DRYLAND TRAINING

Improve your swimming propulsion and efficiency with dryland training.

​

Best completed on the pool deck prior to your swimming session these workouts are also great activation sessions to enhance your practice.

Session A

Bodyweight strength routine

​

Bodyweight squats  2 x 10

Kneeling push-up  2 x 6

Walking lunges 4 x 10 metres

Side lunges 2 x 4 each direction

Plank  2 x 20 sec

Step-up  2 x 4 each leg

Standing calf raises 2 x 10

Session B

Bodyweight leg power circuit: 

 

​Do one rep every second

Move quickly between exercises

Repeat x 4 times through

​

Squats x 8

Reverse lunges x 4 each leg

Standing calf raises x 8

Jump squats x 4

Explosive step-ups x 4 each leg
