DRYLAND TRAINING

Improve your swimming propulsion and efficiency with dryland training.

Best completed in the gym these programs focus on strength, control and efficient movement.

Session A

Strength and power

​​​​

Stability ball hip thrust  2 x 6

Dumbbell bench press  2 x 8

Goblet squat holding dumbbell  2 x 12

Single arm dumbbell row  2 x 6

Dumbbell step-up  2 x 5 each side

Alternating dumbbell overhead press 2 x 10

Front plank 2 x 40 sec

Side Plank 2 x 20 sec each side

Full sit-ups  2 x 6

Movement and control  

 

​​Hip flexor stretch 2 x 20 sec each side

Foam roller upper back stretch 2 x 20 sec

Single leg quarter squat   2 x 4 

Single arm cable row  2 x 6 each side

Reverse dumbbell lunges  2 x 4 each side

Dumbbell push press   2 x 6

Single leg med ball slam 2 x 6 each side

Dead bug  2 x 20

Bird dog 2 x 10
